I Didn't Forget
I am fully intending to post every Monday and Wednesday. However, last week there was just one post because my birthday was Wednesday. (Also, because I forgot to schedule a post.) So happy belated birthday to me.
I wonder have I sparked an interest for tatting in anyone yet? If so I plan to share my favorite website for tatting supplies today. Hhtatting.com aka Hand Hands.
I have found the perfect one stop shop for all my tatting needs. They have threads, shuttles, needles, pattern books, carrying cases, pre-drilled handkerchiefs and doilies, plus a lot more. I first found Handy Hands through a purchase at Hobby Lobby (currently the only store near me that has in store purchasable tatting supplies.) I bought an aerlit shuttle there and on the back of the package was a link to the Handy Hands site. Unless I have immediate tatting needs I usually order from Handy Hands now.
In fact, returning to my birthday last week, a friend gifted me a hhtatting.com egift card. Yes I asked for it, but it's nice to get craft supplies for my birthday. I found a new shuttle there too that I just have to share a screenshot with you guys.
My room colors are coral, mint and navy and when I saw this shuttle it screamed my name. Handy Hands is really the best place in America to order tatting supplies. Please check the out of you think you'd like to tat.
Today's tatting fact is, portability is key! I think its absolutelyamazing that I can carry a small shuttle, some thread and a pair of folding scissors with me and be able to enjoy my craft anywhere and at anytime. Sadly, I'm a homebody and don't get out much. But when I do I usually have tatting with me!
Kelley, of Knit Picks knitpicks.com and YouTube channel Knit Picks, is one of the first people who taught me (online) that you can take tatting anywhere. She spoke in her tatting videos about taking her tatting on hiking trips in her jeans pocket. That was one of the reasons I chose to learn tatting. Because it is so portable.

*NOTE: While I mentioned 2 websites who sale crafting supplies neither are aware of this post. And neither have compensated me for my mention of their websites. I am just a devoted crafter who enjoys their products. Thank you!
